College Scholarships

Two (2) College Scholarships in the amount of $4,500 each and seven (7) scholarships of $3,000 each are awarded to students who are entering their Junior or Senior year in a four year college or university in Bexar County, Texas. The scholarships are paid directly to the four-year college or university in Bexar County which student will attend.

Applications must include:
Completed Assistance League application--This may be obtained from your school financial aid office or at www.assistanceleaguesa.org
Biographical letter of no more than one typed page which should include the following:
Personal information you choose to share about your family or background
Educational goals
Letter of acceptance from a 4 year college or university in Bexar County and date you will be attending.
Minimum of three letters of recommendation--two should be from professors, one from other school personnel or employers, not from family members or personal friends.
Official undergraduate transcript, including most recent semester completed.
$2,500 scholarships are paid directly to the four year college or university in Bexar County which the students will attend.
All applications must be postmarked by Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.
Incomplete applications will NOT be considered.

- Operation School Bell - provides school clothes for over 4,000 elementary children in need of clothing in order to attend school
- Togs for Tots - provides clothing for more than 5,600 children from birth to age five at the request of 27 community agencies
- Watch Me Grow - distributes over 20,000 booklets as a guide for parents about the developmental stages of their children
